LED Dash Lights, Mini Tach, New Igniter April 2023
I took my gauges out and replaced the original dim light bulbs with nice, bright LED lights. I also found a mini tachometer made to fit exactly into the place where a clock would normally be (and I never had a clock, just a blank guage). Once I got everything installed, I fried the igniter in my electronic ignition, so I replaced that as well. Next photo is the original dashboard.
Below is a picture of the original dash lights turned on

Suspension February 2023
Had Joe Silva from Custom Alignment replace tie rod ends, lower control arms, front rotors and pads, and rear drums and shoes.
I put in Koni shocks in front, matching the rear shocks.

Power Steering Conversion February 2022
Thanks to my friend, Eric, I found a great shop in Mountain View called Custom Alignment. Joe, the owner, put in a Borgeson power steering conversion that included a new steering box and shaft, and a power steering pump.
The new power steering pump. The pulley already had a spot for the belt. |
They diagnosed a rattling sound as a bad bearing in the water pump, so they replaced the water pump, painting it to match the Ford blue of the engine block. |
Close up of the new steering box. The shaft cover had to be cut near the firewall. |
This shows the entire assembly from the top front, including the water pump, power steering pump, and new radiator hoses. |

New Starter November 2020
I tried replacing my starter a while back when I had problems starting my car, but could not get the new one to work properly, so I returned it. I put the old starter back on and it worked fine. It finally gave me problems again and I bought another starter. Wow, it's life-changing! That anxious feeling when you turn the key and wonder if you're going to be stranded is completely gone, and I love the power that it puts into the ignition now.

New Door Panels October 2019
The door panels that came with my car were '68 Standard panels, which had holes that didn't line up with my car's holes. Also, the fake chrome was flaking off all around. I had always wanted to upgrade to '67 Deluxe door panels, but they were super expensive by the time you bought everything. So I found some custom standard door panels that look as good as the deluxe ones, with brushed aluminum inserts. They fit perfectly with my handles and armrest, and are a huge improvement from the old ones.
