Tires and Wheels Jun 07

This is my last big expense in this year's budget. I attended the Vintage Mustang Owners Association annual show this month, which was inspiring, and covetousness-inducing. I got to talk to a lot of owners, though, and see some amazing cars. After also reading every tire fitment guide that I could get my hands on, I bought these Vintage 45 wheels (16x8) and had Yoko 225/50/16's mounted on them. After holding my breath a little, they fit fine and look awesome! I know what a difference tires make, as I upgraded my GTI a couple of years ago, but I was not prepared for the quantum leap in ride and handling that these make, compared to my stock 195/75/14's that I was riding before. I find every excuse to go out for a drive now.

Looks sweet! Great job with the car - keep it up! I can only hope Nia buys me a similarly cool gift for my 40th! :)

totally agree with the tires. I never cut corners on tires and brakes.

I could just see you and j.wong cruising your classic mustangs...somehow i think he would be in a skyline.
