My backseat was all ripped up, as you can see by the picture, and my kids always complained when they sat back there. So I finally bought new upholstery, and borrowed some hog ring pliers, and now you see the new backseat. You can also see that I got some "father and son working on the car" action going with this project. Tim Allen would be proud!

Buffing Oct 08
So you've seen the new paint job, which I'm very happy with. But my friend Eric revealed to me that it could actually be better. So I went over to his house and he showed me what a difference a good showroom buffing and polishing job would do. So after 4 steps, 5 products, and many hours, my new paint job now has a glassy, mirror-like finish. I never would've thought a new paint job could look so much better. I'm not posting a picture because you really have to see it in person to appreciate it, but here's a picture of the 5 recommended products, in order of appearance. The reflection on the hood gives you a taste of the finish.

Paint Job May 08
After 9 weeks in the paint shop, I just got my car back. Here are some snapshots of the process over time. There are 3 photos of prep work, 4 photos of primer work, and 2 photos of the color coats after wet sanding. Once I get everything put back together, I'll post final pics of the finished product.
