This blog is dedicated to the best surprise birthday present ever, the 1967 Ford Mustang that my wife got me for my 40th! As background, my first car was a '67 Mustang that I had for about 12 years before I moved and had to sell it. So I had always wanted to get another one to restore once I had the time and place to do it, which I thought would be a few more years down the road. Thus, I still am often incredulous that I have this mechanical marvel sitting in my garage.

Prepping for paint Mar 08
Disassembling for the paint shop: chrome trim, bumpers, windshield wipers, mirror, antenna, window trim, window weatherstripping, grille. Kept lights and handles so I could drive it there.
